Stock Market Fell Today | Sensex trading up 50 points at 83,500: Nifty gains 20 points; Titan’s stock drops 5%, Kotak Bank climbed 4%

The Sensex is trading at 83,500 levels on the second trading day of the week i.e. on Tuesday, July 8, 83,500. The Nifty has a gain of about 20 points, it is trading at the level of 25,480.

17 out of 30 shares of Sensex declines. Titan shares are about 5% below. Kotak Mahindra Bank’s share is trading by climbing 4%. Jomato, Tata Motors and Adani Ports are up to 1%.

Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 31 are declining, while 19 shares are trading above. NSE’s IT, Pharma, Healthcare Sectors are slight decline. Realty, banking and auto stocks are boom.

Asian markets boom, American declines

  • In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading at a level of 39,711 above 0.31% and Korea’s Kospi is trading at 3,094 above 1.14%.
  • Hong Kong’s Hangseng index falls 0.86% to 24,094 and China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,493 above 0.58%.
  • On July 7, the US Dow Jones closed down 0.94% at 44,406. At the same time, Nasdaq composite fell 0.92% to 20,412 and S&P 500 closed at 6,230 below 0.79%.

Domestic investors on 7 July ₹ 1,853 Buy crores of shares

  • On July 7, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 321.16 crore in the cash segment. At the same time, domestic investors (DIIs) purchased Rs 1,853.39 crore.
  • Net purchases of foreign investors in June stood at Rs 7,488.98 crore. At the same time, domestic investors also purchased a net purchase of ₹ 72,673.91 crore in a month.
  • Net purchases of foreign investors in May stood at Rs 11,773.25 crore. At the same time, domestic investors also purchased a net of ₹ 67,642.34 crore in a month.

The market was closed yesterday

On the first trading day of the week i.e. Monday, July 7, the Sensex climbed about 10 points to close at 83,443. There was no change in the Nifty, it closed at the last closing level (25,461)

18 out of 30 shares of Sensex declined. BEL, Tech Mahindra and UltraTech cement fell to 2.4%. Kotak Mahindra Bank and Hindustan Unilever rose by 3%.

The Nifty closed down 28 out of 50 shares. The IT, media and metal sector of NSE were the biggest decline. FMCG closed down 1.7%.
