Chat GPT maker Open AI is going to launch Artificial Intelligence (AI) Powered Web Browser in the coming few weeks. This browser chat of Open AI will do some work directly in interfaces like GPT, that is, users will not have to visit the websites again and again. News agency Reuters have given this information quoting sources.
Open AI plans that these browser should be added to their AI products, such as ‘operators’, which can work like booking or filling form. However, Google Chrome has a 66% market share with more than 3 billion users, while Apple’s Safari is second with 16%. Open AI will get a tough competition from them.

Currently chat GPT has around 50 crore week active users. If only the same open AI’s browser starts using it, then Google’s earnings from Chrome can have a huge impact. Because Google targets business and ad through Chrome.
Google’s open-source code is made on ‘Chromium’ open AI browser
This browser is built on Google’s open-source code ‘Chromium’. Chromium is used in browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Opera. Openai also hired two big officials of Google Chrome’s initial team last year. The company decided to make its browser so that they have full control over user data.
Recently, Purplexity launched AI browser ‘Commit’ and has also brought AI browsers like The browser company and Brave. There is already a case of search monopoly in America on Google. Openai had said that if Chrome comes for sale, they would be interested in buying it. Currently, Google has no plans to sell chrome.
