The Union Health Ministry has clarified on Tuesday (July 15) that it has not issued any warning label for popular Indian snacks like Samosa, Jalebi or Laddu. The ministry says that no steps have been taken to label or target the food products that are selling food products.
The ministry said that the Indian Street Food Culture has not been described in any way wrong in the advisory. Instead, the Health Ministry has issued a General Health Advisory for all the central government departments, which aims to promote healthy food choices at the workplace.
Advisory issued to increase awareness
In the advisory, there is talk of installing education boards in office spaces like lobby, canteen, cafeteria and meeting room. The ministry said that these boards will work to raise awareness about the harmful effects of some food products with more oil, sugar and fat.

Advisory issued by Union Health Ministry.
The purpose of these boards is to give daily reminders to fight obesity. Because, obesity is growing rapidly in the country. A day earlier, some media reports claimed that the Union Health Ministry has directed to issue a warning label on food products like Samosa, Jalebi and Laddu. These media reports are misleading, wrong and baseless.

Boards have been installed in the central schools operated by the central government about the use of sugar.
Take these steps to reduce diseases like obesity-diabetes
Advisory has a number of health-related messages, such as promoting healthy miles with fruits, vegetables and low fat options, suggestions to adopt physical activity, encourage stairs use, organize small brakes for exercise and make a walk.
This initiative is one of the major initiatives of the Ministry under the National Program for Prevention and Control of Non Complete Diseases (NP-NCD). Excessive intake of oil and sugar is the main partner in the increasing rate of obesity, diabetes, hypertension and other lifestyle diseases. The Ministry has started this initiative to stop them.
