The stock market is declining today i.e. on Thursday 16 July. The Sensex is trading about 150 points to 82,400. The Nifty is also trading at around 50 points, trading at 25,150 levels.

The Sensex declines 20 out of 30 shares. The shares of HDFC, Trent and Adani Ports have up to 1%. At the same time, shares of Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra are trading below 1%.

The Nifty has a decline in 34 out of 50 shares, while 16 are up. The shares of NSE Auto, Metal and Financial Services are declined. Media, banking and realty stocks are up to 1%.

Mixed business in global market

  • In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading at 39,642 at 39,642 and Korea’s Kospi is trading at 3,193.
  • Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is trading at 0.57% to 24,731 and China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,500 below 0.14%.
  • On July 15, the US Dow Jones closed down 0.98% at 44,023. At the same time, Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.18% to 20,678 and S&P 500 closed at 6,244 below 0.40%.

Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹ 11,778 crore in 15 days of July

  • On July 15, Foreign Investors (FIIs) purchased a net of Rs 120.47 crore in the cash segment and Rs 1,555.03 crore by domestic investors (DIS).
  • So far, foreign investors have sold shares worth Rs 11,778.03 crore in July. At the same time, domestic investors have purchased a net of Rs 15,745.69 crore during this period.
  • Net purchases of foreign investors in June stood at Rs 7,488.98 crore. At the same time, domestic investors also purchased a net purchase of ₹ 72,673.91 crore in a month.

The market was closed yesterday by climbing 317 points

The Sensex climbed 317 points to close at 82,571 on Tuesday (July 15) on the second trading day of the week. The Nifty also rose by 114 points, it closed at 25,196 levels.

22 out of 30 shares of Sensex rose. The shares of Sun Pharma, Tata Motors and BEL rose by about 2%. At the same time, 35 out of 50 shares of Nifty closed.

NSE also accelerated all sectors. The auto sector rose by 1.5%. Realty, government banking and IT index rose by about 1%.
