Today, the stock of telecom company Bharti Airtel Limited has a rise of 2% on Wednesday (August 6). However, it later declined something and at 11:40 am it is trading at 1,931 at 11:40 am. The bounce in the company’s shares is due to the quarterly results as expected.

The company released the results of the first quarter of FY 2025-26 on Tuesday. According to the results, the company has made a profit of ₹ 7,422 crore in the April-June quarter. It has increased by 57.31% on an annual basis. It was ₹ 4,718 crore in April-June 2024.

Revenue increased by 28% to ₹ 49,463 crore in April-June

In the first quarter (Q1fy2026), the company generated a revenue of Rs 49,463 crore from operation. This is 28.46% higher than last year. In Q1fy2025, the company generated a revenue of ₹ 38,506 crore. The total amount from selling goods and services is revenue.

Airtel’s revenue increased by 26%

  • Airtel Business: Revenue declined by 7.7%. Holmes business revenue increased by 25.7%. 9,39,000 new customers were added to the last quarter, which is the highest quarter due to strong speed in both fiber to home and fixed wireless access segment.
  • digital TV: Digital TV revenue decreased by 1.8% on an annual basis.

Smartphone data customers were 2.13 crores, 39 lakhs increased on quarterly basis

  • Mobile Service: The revenue of mobile service increased by 21.6%, which is inspired by improving ARPU and growth of smartphone customers.
  • Mobile ARPU was ₹ 250, which was ₹ 211 in the first quarter of the last financial year on an annual basis. That is, ARPU increased by 18.4% on an annual basis.
  • The number of smartphone data customers has increased by 2.13 crore on an annual basis and 39 lakhs on quarterly basis. This is 77% of the total mobile customer base.
  • Consumption of mobile data increased by 21.6% on an annual basis, 26.9 GB/month per customer.

On the results, Bharti Airtel Managing Director (MD) Gopal Vittal said,

Airtel has also performed well in this quarter. The company has added 40 lakh new smartphone data customers. Also, the average income (ARPU) per user maintained Rs 250, which is the highest in the market.
