The dispute between Ilon Musk and Donald Trump began over the beautificral bill.
Tesla and SpaceX owner Ellon Musk responded to US President Donald Trump’s post in which he claimed that Musk’s companies get “large subsidies” from the US government. They do not want to destroy their companies by taking it back.
Tesla’s boss replied that these “subsidies” “are not really not present.” He also said that SpaceX has won the NASA contracts at better work and low cost. He warned that by removing these contracts, astronauts will be stuck in the middle.

Causes of controversy: Trump threatened to stop subsidy
The controversy started with the Big Beautiful Bill, which was opposed by Ilon Musk. Musk said that this bill would increase America’s debt. He also said that the bill will end millions of jobs in America and will cause great loss to our country.
At the same time, Trump had said- Ilon was fully aware of this bill. He had no problem with this. He suddenly had a problem when it came to know that we would have to cut the electric vehicle (EV) mandate, as it costs billions of dollars.
Trump had also said that if the subsidy to Musk is stopped, he will have to close his shop (company) and return to South Africa. Trump said- With the closure of subsidy, neither Tesla will be able to produce electric car nor will SpaceX rockets, satellites be launched.
Trump and Musk’s friendship broke out when Ellon Musk resigned from DOGE in his second term of Trump administration. He supported Trump’s election campaign not only as his biggest supporter but also as the biggest donor.
What is the truth: Musk got a help of Rs 3.2 lakh crore
According to the analysis of the Washington Post, Musk and his companies have received at least $ 38 billion in the form of contracts, loans, subsidies and tax credit from the government in the last 20 years. According to today, this amount is close to about 3.2 lakh crore rupees.
Talking about SpaceX, it is true that NASA gave them contracts, but these contracts were found on the basis of merit and cost, not from any subsidy. Space missions may stop if these contracts are removed. Other companies may have to pay more money.
