On the last trading day of the week today i.e. on Friday, July 4, the Sensex climbed 193 points to close at 83,433. The Nifty rose by about 56 points, closed at 25,461.
20 out of 30 shares of Sensex rose. Trent’s stock dropped 11%. Tata Steel and Tech Mahindra fell to 1.6%. Bajaj Finance, Infosys and HUL climbed to 1.6%.
Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 31 rose. NSE’s Pharma, Realty, Oil and Gas and FMCG shares climbed by 1%. There was a slight decline in auto and metal.

Mixed business for Asian markets
- Japan’s Nikkei in Asian markets closed at 39,811 levels at 39,811 and Korea’s Kospi closed at 3,068.
- Hong Kong’s Hangseng index fell 0.64% to 23,916 and China’s Shanghai Composite closed at 3,472 above 0.32%.
- On July 3, the US Dow Jones closed at 44,829 below 0.77%. At the same time, Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.02% to 20,601 and S&P 500 closed at 6,279 above 0.83%.
Domestic investors on July 3 ₹ 1,333 Buy crores of shares
- On July 3, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,481.19 crore in the cash segment. At the same time, domestic investors (DIIs) made a purchase of Rs 1,333.06 crore.
- Net purchases of foreign investors in June stood at Rs 7,488.98 crore. At the same time, domestic investors also purchased a net purchase of ₹ 72,673.91 crore in a month.
- Net purchases of foreign investors in May stood at Rs 11,773.25 crore. At the same time, domestic investors also purchased a net of ₹ 67,642.34 crore in a month.
The market had dropped 170 points yesterday by climbing 400 points
The Sensex fell 170 points to close at 83,239 on the fourth trading day of the week i.e. Thursday, 3 July. The Nifty also fell by 48 points, it closed at 25,405.
The Sensex closed 19 out of 30 shares. Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finserv and Adani Ports declined. Maruti, Infosys and NTPC were purchased.
32 out of 50 shares of Nifty declined and 17 rose. While there was no change in one. NSE metal, realty and government banking stocks declined by 1%. Media, FMCG, Auto and Pharma shares were bouncing.
